Domingo Ramirez is still missing

Domingo Ramirez of Cave Junction has been missing since a June 2004 camping trip to Kelly Lake, in the Siskiyou Mountains near Happy Camp.

When Domingo Ramirez, 20, left Cave Junction on June 5, 2004, his plan was to go to Kelly Lake, near Happy Camp, for a camping vacation. His beloved companion dog, a three-year-old pit bull named Kandi, was with him. However something went wrong, and Ramirez never returned home. He's been missing for 18 months now but his mother is still looking for him. His family offers $10,000 for his return.

On June 13 Kandi was found running loose near the Page Mountain Snow Park. She had been shot and required veterinary help to recover from her injuries. Also the vehicle Ramirez was driving, a dark green 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada, was recovered in Klamath Falls, Oregon. However Domingo Ramirez is still missing despite numerous searches by his family, friends, and Search and Rescue units from both California and Oregon.

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has identified two men who detectives believe were connected to the Oldsmobile Bravada. (See photographs below.) At least one of the men was in Happy Camp around the time of Domingo Ramirez’s disappearance. He is said to have been driving a White 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Oregon plates.

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from anyone that may have seen or know these two men, and/or their whereabouts and activities during June and July of 2004.
